wow, have you been on the bad end of theo's stick or somehow you've
managed to see through all the layers to the core of what he's really
about ?
 
this isn't the first time he's gone public with half-truths and lies,
and i'm not the only one who has been brushed by them - but from what
I have seen, it just seems to be the way he works :-(

the real shame is the number of openbsd "robots" who gobble up every
single thing he says as gospel.

elsewhere, i think, i've seen people suggest that it may be because
the openbsd ppl have taken too long to spend the money that it's
been put on hold but that, just like theo's statements are just
speculation in the absence of any formal statement by DARPA.  it'd
be nice if everyone just stopped and waited fo DARPA to say something.

on the other side of this, you've got to wonder if any university
research type people are ever going to be willing to work with or
sponsor them again if this is the sort of working relationship to
expect ...
