Nope - consider the large number of "protected" cds that not only won't
play in a normal CD player, but jam that player until powered off and the
drive hard-ejected.
now consider a pirate copy of that that is just audio, no gimmicks at all.
Wouldn't you call that better? :)
you could also add graphics (cover art, lyrics, that sort of thing) into
the subtracks for any lucky people with compatable players, and/or the mp3
form of the files on a data partition....

not even swedishchefify could make BS sound better :)
