I'm currently taking a class at my university on computer security and
the book that the professor choose was Security in Computing foreword
by Willis H. Ware which is a great book for a General security
overview, covering concept, security models, Operating systems
protection models on things such as the MMU, and much more.
i also really like Hacking: The Art of Exploitation and the
Shellcoders Handbook along with the other the rest of the FD users
have stated
