Subject: Please read. I feel this is important.

I know that you ask for us to not post a reply to this. And please excuse me
for doing so! But, to me this is one of the few mails that I have received
from this list in over a month that was. Please excuse my use of words here.
WORTH A SHIT ! I'm a security junkie. I'm not as smart as most of you all.
That is why when I found this list while searching the net. I felt I had
found a single mailing list that would suit ALL my needs alone with the
Secunia Security Advisories I have had for years.

At first I was amazed from the Great info from security brains as you all
seem to have! And then the list turned to shit for one member " I won't
state his name" was able to control some of you all by his posting. In other
words he had made you all his man toys. and he proved this by the way you
all keep posting back to in courgeing the WAY off list topics. when it would
have been just as easy to delete the post or set up a trash rule for them?
But, no you had to fill this list and my inbox with your childish replies.
didn't you all see that he was getting his rocks off. from the way he was
able to control you all?

Now, as this posted did. I didn't waste my time reading any of you all about
American politics . Why because if this topic doesn't have anything to do
with world security. It belongs on a site that deals with this topic. alone
with the subject of religion or whatever the off list security topics ARE !
I don't think this list needs a mommy to keep it on topic. I think every one
needs to buy a keyboard with a del key and learn to make mail rules. And
quit letting the world see you all acting like kindergarden or pre school
little boys trying to prove you have a bigger set of balls. and just can't
let it go. It takes a bigger man to not reply. then to make a ass out of
himself to this list and the world!

Please read all of this and take note. It'll take two minutes of your

When I opened my e-mail this morning, and jumped to the FD folder, what
is saw was the straw that broke the camels back.

Of the 300(ish) e-mails I got today, Almost all were titled, "A small
editorialaboutrecentevents", which is basically some of the people on
this list arguing about American politics (from what I can glean from
the e-mail I did read).

Of few remaining e-mails there was one, and only 1 security related
topic.

This is not why this list was created. To have one e-mail on topic and
the rest I can only class as spam. On such a respected list, that I have
been a keen subscriber to for years.

THIS IS A LIST FOR SECURITY, NOT FOR THE AMERICAN PUBLIC TO DISCUSS
WHATS WRONG WITH THEIR COUNTRY; WE'RE BORED OF HEARING ABOUT YOU IN THE
REAL NEWS, TRY AND KEEP IT OUT OF FULL-DISCLOSURE.

This is not what the list was designed for and believe me the people
making these stupid topics are the ones with the least to bring to the
table. Those people who have something to offer, will be driven away
(this is happening already) and soon, the list will die.

I've seen calls for moderation, and people discussing ways of pruning
out the problem posts. All these topics turned into a complete farce,
becoming what they hoped to stop.

We must strive to keep this list alive and make is as important and
respected as it once was (Those who have been around a while will
remember internet-wide ripple that could be caused by that one mail to
the list.)

The list literally has toppled major corporations and changed the views
and opinions of many of the most important people on the internet.

Even before computing became a big part of my life, before I'd ever used
a M$ product I had heard of FD.

So people please, even if what you post is good information. Stop for a
few seconds and think. Is this security related? When somebody sees this
on Full-Disclosure, will there be any doubt of its relevance?

To save myself becoming a complete hypocrite, I'd like to ask that
nobody reply to this, just make sure you read and take note. Even if you
disagree.
