Subject: scary message 'failed to recover some devices ... retrying' HPT370

On a whim, after reading about recent developments, I tried to boot
2.6.19-rc4-mm1 with only the new SATA drivers active, and all PATA
drivers inactive.

This is an Asus A8N-SLI Premium motherboard, with 8 sata drives on the
NForce chipset and on a SiL3114 controller, 3 pata devices (2 hd, 1 dvd
writer) on the motherboards PATA connectors and, for good measure, 2
additional hds on a HPT374 4-port PATA raid card, in JBOD mode.

The message reads 'ata11: failed to recover some devices, retrying in 5
secs' in this part:

pata_hpt37x: BIOS has not set timing clocks.
hpt37x: HPT374: Bus clock 33MHz.

It seems that one of the empty ports on the HPT374 card is giving these
scary messages. Why only one of the empty ports? lspci -v and dmesg
(both for 2.6.19-rc4-mm1 with regular PATA drivers and without) included
below.

Are these messages anything to worry about?

Kind regards,
Jurriaan
