Documentation/HOWTO is a terse collection of useful tips. It's a great
reference for people who have an idea of what they are doing and need
to come quickly up to speed.

This document is intended to be a much more comprehensive introduction
accessible to new developers and managers. It is, I hope, something we
will be able to hand to companies which are trying to figure out how to
join in. I don't expect it to replace Documentation/HOWTO, but I do
hope it will be more useful for a lot of the folks who most need this
kind of information.

Thanks,

jon
