I think you need:
put_dveice(&pinmux_pdev->dev);
since of_find_device_by_node calls bus_find_device() that takes
reference to found device.
... And now that I look at this majority of users of
of_find_device_by_node() is broken like that :(
BTW, it looks like you only need pinmux_dev for it's name so you
probably need to drop reference in success path as well.
