My notes tell that on UP ia64 (RX2620), !NUMA was broken with both
SPARSEMEM and DISCONTIGMEM. NUMA+SPARSEMEM or !NUMA worked. Even
NUMA+DISCONTIGMEM worked, that was my config on 2-CPU RX2660.
