Yes this should be OK as well. I was thinking  it would be more
clearer during debug if there
was a separate state altogether, but, looks like we should be fine.
Implementing/Validating it now. Will send a follow up version today.

Looks reasonable to me as tcpm_*_detach functions call  tcpm_detach so
teardown should
happen anyways.
