It would be better to save the chip id in struct sht3x_data to avoid
having to dereference driver_data here, and to avoid needing a pointer

This does not work. The val parameter passed to the write function
is already the value, not a pointer to a string. There is no need
to parse it again, and trying to do so will fail (or, with bad luck,
crash).
