That looks like an excellent suggestion David!

Looks like a very convenient driver. It was not available on my 5.4 
vendor kernel for my hardware so I missed it completely. Will try to 
backport that driver to my 5.4 kernel instead.

So lets drop these patches. Thanks for your input.
