I was thinking of something like:

		u64 speed = ethtool_cmd_speed(&ecmd);
		if (speed < 1000 || speed == SPEED_UNKNOWN)
			return DEFAULT_PRB_RETIRE_TOV;
		msec = 1;
		div = speed / 1000;
