Netcat is an indispensable security tool. Any
discussion about its oddities may have a security
relation(atleast in some still-unforeseen case). So,
IMO, it is in compliance with the list charter.

Anyways, this thread is a lot better than all the
trash that has been flooding the list for a few
weeks...
